While the event that transformed people into demi's was instantaneous, the onset of the predation instincts and lack of interest for the modern human living took some time to emerge, and even more to become strong enough to cause civilization to collapse (took around a decade from the transformation to general collapse in fact). Not that some weren't absolute naturals in the new incoming age of eating each other like this skunk lady.

She may or may not be the mother of one of the other characters if i come to draw it.
