I must say, I've always been a BIG fan of the "princess turned glutton" pred archetype, which makes me a fan of Shadowheart as a pred!

I think it's about contrasting polished femininity and slovenly dominance. You take a woman whose appearance and demeanour suggests strict adherence to societal expectations, and let her break free of those restrictions. Now here she sits: legs spread, gut hanging out, a belch on her lips. Before she was a princess, now she is a queen.
