Personality: Missy is an eccentric and protective girl who’s extremely loyal to her large family and friends. She’s loud and boisterous, but also thoughtful and caring when needed. She both fits and breaks the stereotype of Appalachians, rarely dressing nice and bolsters a thick accent, but she’s also much smarter and level-headed than people give her credit for, being the first in her immediate family with a college degree.

Description: Missy is an abnormally tall woman who lives at the end of a holler in the rural Appalachian town of Rosemary Gap. She stands at an unbelievable 10 feet tall and weighs about as much as the larger black bears in the area. Her tall stature has made it hard to find clothes that fit her, so what little clothes she owns become worn from years of use. Sometimes, she ends up having to wear improvised clothing made from tablecloth and blankets. Despite her height, Missy doesn’t suffer from it much aside from occasional back pain and smacking her head off the tops of doorways. Due to being taller than the ceiling in her home, she prefers to stay outdoors and only come inside when told or after dark. The home has been in the family for generations, and it’s also where her great grandfather hid gold from the war there. The rumor is widespread, with Missy’s family name being well known across the region in folklore. Missy herself is talked about as if she’s a folklore character. Her inhuman height has caused those who hear the tale to think she’s a monster, and she may as well be one to those who try to go after the gold. There are multiple attempts to get a cut of the gold by thieves annually. Missy is an incredibly light sleeper, and will know if anyone’s nearby who shouldn’t be up. Her long legs allow her to clear distances quickly, gaining the advantage of jumping intruders from further away from normal people. Her large size also includes muscle mass, so she’s easily able to take down the average person who’s only a little over half her height. Fighting men to her is like fighting an elementary schooler for most. Escaping her is unlikely, as she’s much more adept at catching thieves once they’ve escaped the house. She can chase down someone through the woods from several yards away and still catch them before they can make a getaway. Once caught, she can stuff up to three fully grown humans in her belly. Her insane height requires a large diet, and Missy would rather sate her appetite with thieves who now know the layout of the house better than precious food her family could be eating. Digestion all depends on the weather really. A heat wave can cause the average man to be digested up to a little under a month while a cold snap can reduce digestion time to three days with Missy’s regular exercise. Early in digestion, Missy spends a lot of time lounging around outside taking naps to avoid back pain. This is usually where her family comes in to support her, running errands for her to thank her for warding off thieves. While her prey typically struggles for maybe the first hour, they give up pretty early as the weight of her body exhausts them to the point of being unable to fight back. Around halfway through digestion, her stomach begins making lots of noise and twitches a little as the thieves are pumped through her intestines. This is also when she’s just about ready to take on more thieves.
