Cold, not Cruel. By BennyDrylz -- Report

In Ms. Harper's facility, negligence will not be tolerated. She gets many new hires every year and few make it to see the following year, some are products of nepotism, those who thought they could pay their way to the top, others are simply incompetent and can't trusted with the sensitive information and materials going around the laboratories. Though Ms. Harper is not out right cruel, she doesn't enjoy... "liquidating" the failures, she simply enjoys being rid of them. And she has a keen eye for those who possess the skills and attributes needed in her line of work.

One day a while ago, i heard someone describe the SCP foundation as COLD not CRUEL, and i thought wow that would perfectly describe Harper.

Oh yeah for ekas people, this is one of my OCs. I made OC sheets of all of them in the past but they're outdated so I'll be making new ones soon... maybe... eventually...

Neat concept. I like the idea of a predator being pragmatic enough to get rid of the bad workers while keeping the good ones. It makes a little sense why someone would work for her instead over someone who is known to get rid of all of her staff on a whim.

Thanks! And yeah I notice a lot of scenarios have no way out for the prey so they’re just doomed. In this it’s like Harper’s open maw is always looming above her head, waiting for her to mess up. So the prey is able to postpone this by doing her best. I guess for me it’s cool to see the prey have a way to escape death without having to do something terribly degrading or immoral.

This is the first time I'm being introduced to this concept and, to be honest, I love it. Uncaring but pragmatic predators are hot as fuck, dude.

Thanks man I appreciate it. She’s cold hearted, if you fail her she’ll send you down her throat without a second thought, but she’s not cruel, she can see the value in someone, and I don’t just mean caloric value lmao

It says a LOT that despite the fact that there is a looming chance I could die in one of the worst possible ways imaginable I would still rather work for her than my current boss.

Under her management, hard work doesn't get rewarded with just MORE work lol, been there

Surprisingly fair.

TBH, I would describe the SCP Foundation as being cruel sometimes, but that's likely moreso a result of various authors adding things (not to mention some questionable SCPs)

But she definitely fits that. Well, maybe a little cruel given the methods she uses, but close enough.

True, the foundation can seem cruel when authors write in needless D-Class deaths. Like sometimes you don't need to see if the thingy can kill someone, you can just kinda infer it can lmao

I wasn't even referring to that, just D-Class lore itself. Sure, most lore has them as death row, but that's thing, only MOST. Some has minor crimes, and civilian.

And of course, none are willing. Additionally, many tests could be done with lab rats or robots (unless you need both a living being and opererator capable of using things).

"such as political prisoners, refugee populations, and other civilian sources" and "plausibly deniable circumstances"

Not to mention they either have to have their memories wiped or are killed.

Actually, no I change my mind SCPF is fully evil, but in an ends justify the means way. Totally forgot they could just nab basically anyone people don't care about.

It also means this lady still counts as morally decent compared to SCP administration xd.

Anyways, still prefer the grimderp style scp stuff to the, uh, well the milk bottle scp. (686, which is absolutely just someone's fetish)
