Rain World - Rejection Hurts By bpacc437 -- Report

In his relentless quest to find a mate, Enot takes a pass at Artificer. It does not go well. I hope you enjoy the story!!

---

Enot’s attempts to find a mate had thus far been a failure, but he remained undeterred. He would find a soulmate if it was the last thing he did - which it very well might be, at the rate things were going. The poor thing had scoured the lands from the Shaded Citadel to the Industrial Complex, but had found nothing but rejection. Turned away by Gourmand, Rivulet, and even Spearmaster, his options were beginning to thin.

So when his eyes landed on Artificer, it was as if a ray of light had cracked through the clouds, shining a bright future path for his troubled body. With her strong thighs and ample rear, Enot thought that she would be quite the catch. All he had to do was stick the landing. So, he mustered up all of his courage, and crept up on Artificer, hoping to take her by surprise and wow her with his endless charm and good looks.

He let out a low purr, alerting Artificer to his location as she turned around, spear raised and ready to pierce the heart of yet another Scavenger. When she saw it was just some low and pathetic Slugcat, she looked away and continued on her path, hoping to find some more prey. Inv wasn’t put off by this - she was surely just playing hard to get. Following alongside her, Enot tried to get her attention by waving his hands in an invitational sort of way. Artificer didn’t even look his way.

Well, then Inv started to get a bit huffy. He had everything one could want in a mate , and Artificer wouldn’t even grant him the dignity of a glance! He would have to make things happen one way or another, so he leapt out in front of her, and extended a paw in greeting. The staunch predator slapped out and pushed him aside. Though, ‘pushed’ isn’t a strong enough word - she basically knocked him all the way over. Part of her felt like throwing a bomb at him, but she decided it wasn’t worth it. She was hungry and had to eat, tit wouldn’t go wasting energy on someone so below her notice.

The message was so clear by now that even Inv couldn’t deny its potency. Artificer wanted nothing to do with him, and if he kept pushing, something terrible might happen. To him, that is. But he hadn’t come this far, and been rejected this many times, just to fail now. He had a collection of pearls he’d stolen from Scavengers across his journeys, and Inv decided to gift them all to Artificer as a way to prove his worth. Perhaps a show of wealth and cunning in having stolen so many would win her over?

By now, Artificer had progressed rather far ahead of him, into a long-abandoned industrial building that was now nothing more than a skeleton of concrete hallways and blasted staircases. Inv planned his ambush, pathing out where she was likely to go, and getting ahead of her path. When his target reached the place where he’d been waiting, Enot walked off, carrying his collection of pearls. He practically shoved them into Artificer’s face, eliciting a sharp growl. Hadn’t he gotten the message by now? How many times did she need to rebuff him before it got through to him?

She tried to convince herself to just let it slide. It didn’t really matter, all she’d have to do is get a bit further ahead and this strange Slugcat would surely lose the trail. But her stomach was rumbling, and her desire to eat was only enflamed by the annoyance she felt at having to deal with this creature again and again. She grinned as she thought up a sinister plan. If he wanted to get closer to her, he’d get his wish alright.

Restraining herself, Artificer tried to let the anger drain from her face, and made herself look pleased. Enot’s expression lightened - his courting was working!

Artificer walked on a bit, and squeezed through a pipe into a room that looked secure enough from predators to enact her plan. Enot followed her in, and she waved him in close, her paw beckoning him forwards, like she was about to share a secret with him. She took a few steps back, watching as Inv eagerly lurched forwards, certain now that he was about to get the mate he desperately desired.

Once he was close enough, Artificer closed the distance and put her snout close to his, like she was about to share some ancient words of wisdom. Enot’s excited eyes went wide, which was when Artificer opened her mouth and began to swallow him whole. He let out a cry of alarm as his head vanished into his mouth, and her paws wrapped around his midsection as she tossed her head back, sending his upper body into the air.

From there, it was like slurping down a fat and wet noodle. Enot’s back paws kicked in a rather pathetic way as he slid down her throat like he was sliding through one of the many pipes that made up this ecosystem. Except, instead of a comfortable shelter, he was landing inside of Artificer’s already-hungry stomach. He went down easily enough, and Artificer was soon gulping down his tail, sending the last unswallowed part of Enot down her throat. Then, he was gone except as a bulging shape in Artificer’s stomach, which gurgled loudly as it took in the new food.

Artificer let out the Slugcat equivalent to a cackle as she felt him rustle around in there, all helpless and sad. He shouldn’t have been hitting on somebody so clearly out his league, and now this was what he deserved. She rubbed her paws on her stomach, feeling him pushing around, looking for a way out. But soon there’d be nothing left of him except for weight on her body. She’d get enough food out of him to last for several cycles at least.

Only a bit of time passed before Arrtificer’s stomach really started going in on Enot. Her gut glorped and churned loudly, grateful for this feast after so much famine. Inv wasn’t the most durable of slugcats, and his body stood no chance against her rather fierce stomach. His animal noises of increasing desperation were slowly replaced by the sounds of her gut working him away, and his pushes and shoves against her too began to fade. Artificer rubbed and kneaded her belly, feeling his decreasing struggles, feeling the way her body was growing softer, and let out another evil little cackle.

She got up, and pressed her stomach against the wall, feeling Enot get pressured between her body and the barrier. Artificer clenched her stomach as she pressed in, and felt and heard Enot crush and slouch around in her belly. She pressed in with her paws, sensing her stomach getting softer and now beginning to shrink as the first of Inv was sucked away to be processed and turned into weight.

Artificer pressed harder, and discerned Inv letting out another few kicks and punches and what must’ve been some cries of pain or despair or both, but by now his body had been so digested they didn’t sound much different from the gurglings of her belly. Another few clenches of her stomach finished him off, and then there was nothing left in her stomach except for sloshing Enot sludge.

Laying down on her midsection, Arti admired her catch, and wondered how long he’d keep her full for. Though, part of her regretted how large all of this feasting was certainly going to make her. She just hoped that she wouldn’t end up round as Gourmand. Resting there, she sensed her guts work heavily, processing all of that pathetic former Slugcat. Already she was growing larger, with her legs and rear growing thicker and rounder.

Then she felt the first drops of rain begin to fall, and panicked. Artificer had to get to shelter, and quickly. Thankfully, she had passed one on the way here - and she had more than enough food to last her through Hibernation. Though, passing through the pipes now proved to be a challenge. She had to press herself into those pipes, which pressed hard enough her round slosh which was still so full of Enot. Racing through those open rooms was also a challenge, as she had to maneuver around with her new gains.

Still, she made it in time, squeezing through the shelter pipe just as the rain really started to come down. She settled down and got ready to sleep, knowing that by the time she woke up, there’d be nothing left of Inv but weight. As Artificer dozed off, she did so listening to the sounds of that strange Slugcat gurgling away into nothing.

…And when she woke up, the first thing she found was that eating Enot had rather far-reaching consequences. Literally.

Her body had swelled in size from digesting all that Slugcat. She did, as a matter of fact, bear some resemblance to Gourmand now The shelter she resided in had held her old form quite comfortably, but now her stomach filled most of the floor in the cramped space, and her body was covered with fat, including a roll around her neck like the aforementioned gluttonous Slugcat.

Though, the biggest increase in size had gone to her rear. It made sense, in a warped way. Inv was pathetic enough that it made sense most of him would end up there. But as Artificer tried to stand, she found the weight back there almost difficult for her now-huge thighs to hold. She inadvertently hip-checked the walls several times just trying to turn around.

With great effort, she made it to the pipe exiting the shelter. She had to shove herself into it now, but it did admit her right up until it reached her ass. It was simply too large to fit through the tube, and her rear hung there on the outside of the tunnel as she kicked and tried to drag herself through, before finally managing to get deep enough in that movement again became easier.

Emerging out of the shelter, she took in the rain-filled air, and examined her surroundings more closely now that she wasn’t dealing with Enot. On the ground there was a puddle, and she used it to get a new look at her body, with her Gourmand-sized stomach and doorway-wrecking hips. There was also her rear, of course, large enough now to be seen from her front. But it was as she turned to go that she noticed yet another little quirk.

There, on her left asscheek, was a sort of tattoo showing Enot’s face with the eyes X’d out. She had no idea how it had gotten there, though it made a twisted sort of sense. He’d gone all there in the end, it made sense that he’d leave a sort of mark behind. Perhaps whatever force had told him that he had to either mate or die decided that this would be a funny fate for him - reduced to assfat on Artificer and nothing more. She couldn’t help but notice that he either hadn’t respawned with the new Cycle, or was avoiding her. The latter still seemed less possible than the former.

As Artificer left the building, a Scavenger caught her eye. Initially, it raised its spear in alarm, and let out a war crime. Then it saw how… curvaceous she was, and dropped the spear. It let out a series of sounds that was, basically, the Scavenger equivalent of “holy shit,” and then promptly received a spear in the face. Artificer walked over him, wondering if Scavs staring at her in shocked silence would give her some sort of tactical advantage in a fight going fowards.

As she passed, the dying Scavenger reached up and slapped her ass. Artificer wheeled around and stabbed him again, in the chest this time. As he passed away, entering the cycle of life and death yet again, his final parting thoughts were…

“Worth it.”

Really lovely read there. Always nice to see a story with slugcat preds. From the flirting, swallow, and especially weight gain. Favorite detail being the "door destroying hips" and fatty body rolls.

Tattoo being a nice touch.
Kinda laughed hard how the scavenger reacted. Even going in for the slap and saying "worth it."
Lmao, who wouldn't do that? ????
