The sun shone brightly over Central City, casting an inviting warmth
across the bustling metropolis. Humans and hedgehogs alike scurried
about their daily business - some running errands, others enjoying
leisure activities like jogging in the park. Amidst the gentle hum of
activity, two figures emerged from a side alleyway - Shadow the
Hedgehog and his long-time rival, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Shadow, clad in his sleek red coat emblazoned with the emblem of
G.U.N. (Guardian Unit of Nations), strode purposefully alongside his
blue counterpart. The hedgehog formerly known as the Ultimate Life
Form had an intense look in his heterochromatic eyes, a swirl of
conflicting emotions churning in the pit of his stomach.

"You took your precious time," Shadow growled, his fanged maw
curling into a frown. "I thought we had an agreement to meet at the
fountain half an hour ago."

Sonic, spiked quills trembling with barely contained unease, threw up
his gloved hands in a placating gesture. "Whoa, easy there Shadow!
I'm here now, aren't I?" He flashed his signature thumbs up. "Lay off
the intimidation factor, yeah? It's not like I make a habit of blowing off
our little meetups."

Shadow's eyes narrowed, gaze laser-sharp as he appraised the
hedgehog before him. Sonic's bravado was as flimsy as ever, the cyan
teen dancing from foot to foot like he had a firecracker tucked away in
those red shoes of his. Shadow knew that pulse-pounding energy, that
kinetic potential that radiated off Sonic in waves. As much as he
despised the attitude, the cocky swagger - Shadow couldn't deny a
begrudging respect for his blue rival. The hedgehog had spirit, a spark
of something wild and untamed.
A pang of hunger twisted Shadow's insides, his tongue flicking out to
wet suddenly dry lips. It was a craving he didn't quite understand, an
unnatural craving, but Shadow knew on an instinctual level that his
body ached to consume Sonic. To taste that vibrant blue fur, to feel the
hedgehog's form sliding down his throat... Shadow's mind reeled,
trying to make sense of these unfamiliar urges.

Sonic, perhaps catching a glimpse of something dangerous in
Shadow's gaze, took an involuntary step back. "Uh, do you mind me
asking what's eating at you, Shadow? You're looking kinda... hungry."

"Hmph." A derisive snort. "I'll have you know I'm not about to 'eat' you,
fool. Don't flatter yourself." Even as the words left his mouth, Shadow
knew them for the lie they were. His stomach churned and heaved, a
physical ache that demanded appeasement. It seemed his body had
made up its mind for him.

Sonic, blissfully oblivious, flashed a cheeky grin. "Yeah, yeah, I know.
Wouldn't want to sully that PRolvable palate of yours~"

Shadow's reply was to lunge forward, quicker than Sonic's eye could
follow, his mouth stretching impossibly wide to envelope the startled
hedgehog in one swift motion. Sonic's startled yelp was abruptly
silenced as Shadow's lips sealed around him, swallowing convulsively
as that satisfying weight slid down his gullet and into the waiting heat
of his stomach.

A low groan of pleasure rumbled in Shadow's chest at the sensation of
Sonic's shape molding to the contours of his innards, like a missing
puzzle piece finally found. The heat, the wriggling, struggling mass of
excited blue quills - it was everything Shadow's body had been
craving and more.
Sonic, for his part, found himself in a thoroughly unpleasant situation.
The clenching walls of Shadow's stomach rippled and squeezed
around him, sprinkling his form with a light dust of digestive fluids. The
heat was intense, the air thick and humid, and that incessant gurgling
-!

"Sh-Shadow?!" The blue teen's voice emerged muffled, panic-tinged.
"The fuck, man?! Let me outta there!" Sonic squirmed and thrashed,
blue spines scraping Shadow's inner lining in a desperate bid for
freedom. The motion only seemed to encourage Shadow's stomach
further, undulating waves of muscle coiling round Sonic's body like a
boa constrictor.

Shadow could only groan at the writhing muscle-mass in his gut, eyes
fluttering shut as his body worked to break Sonic down. He could feel
it, the gradual softening of fur and flesh, the increasing slickness
painting his stomach walls. Shadow's tongue swirled around the stray
quills still poking out of his lips, savoring the unique flavor of his blue
foe.

A wave of lethargy settled over Sonic, limbs growing heavy as
Shadow's stomach acids worked their magic. The heat was incredible,
sweat beading on his brow and dripping down his quills. With a final,
pitiful twitch, Sonic succumbed to the unrelenting warmth, his blue
form softening further into Shadow's churning red gut.

Shadow released a shuddering sigh, jaw loosening as he reached
down to give his gurgling middle a firm pat. The wriggling mass was
little more than a shadow of its former self now, barely recognizable as
the cocky hedgehog he'd swallowed whole just moments prior. In its
place was a fleshy, undulating glob of softening meat, occasionally
flaring out a lone blue quill like some macabre imitation of Sonic's
former colors.

Shadow felt a flicker of regret at the sight, a twinge of that foreign
emotion called 'guilt.' But it was quickly overtaken by a wave of deep,
bone-deep satisfaction. He'd acted on his urges, given in to the
hunger that had been clawing at his insides since laying eyes on
Sonic. And if his rival was gone now, broken down into the very
components of Shadow's being... So be it.

The red hedgehog stood there a moment longer, hands still resting on
the warm curve of his middle, before turning on his heel and
sauntering off down the alley. If anyone missed the blue speedster,
that was their problem. Shadow had no intention of filling out a
missing persons report. He had more important matters to concern
himself with. Like basking in the gratifying warmth of a meal well
digested.
