Theoretically this can be taken as canon since Atago (in the presentation of her skin) warned us to be careful or she will eat us. the commander didn't take his older sister's warning seriously~

To be fair, she did say "... Just kidding. Even if I were a werewolf, I'd still protect you and keep you safe."

Although another one of her lines does have her lose control a bit... Maybe the full moon made her think SKK would be safest in her stomach or as a part of her.
