The first night of the phoenix's imprisonment, it barely seemed aware of it's capture. The first dawn showed a drastically different reaction. The sensation of souls suddenly piling into her womb as her consciousness switched modes seemed to jog the higher functions of her human form's brain. For several months she struggled to escape, putting cracks in the mural, but the freshly applied magic was able to repair itself and hold the seal until she stopped struggling.
