JUST A REGULAR HEDGEHOG AFTER ALL
 
This really wasn't Sonic's day. To start off, he was in the abandoned Eggman base with his friends far behind him, still about as overconfident as ever, until he'd encounter that metallic doppelganger! Now, the blue hedgehog wasn't against a challenge, and he'd easily outpace the Metal Sonic, but here's the problem... Metal wasn't racing him... He was luring him in a trap!
Before he knew it... He had fallen into a secret passage, stuck in a secret room with no other passages, and the entrance shut tight... The walls were far too sturdy, As he tried to spin dash into them earlier, yet all that did was break a few of his bones... All he could do was wait for his friends to get him out of the place... But hey, at least he didn't get trapped alone!
 
Too bad the person he got trapped with was an absolute downer.
 
"Tssk. I told you to not follow that damn impostor, Sonic. You're getting way too impatient with the years." Sonic turned to his cellmate... One of the most complicated relationships he's ever had, the one who technically isn't even from this world... A slightly taller dark hedgehog, who prided himself in being the ultimate lifeform... Sonic just rolled his eyes... "Oh give me a break, Shadow!" Sonic said, scratching his ear as the rival just leaned on the wall. "How was I supposed to know that bucket of bolts would lead us straight into a trap!" "You forget this is the doctor's bucket of bolts. They are very well aware that your biggest weakness is your ego. It was inevitable they used it to lure you into a trap." Sonic just chuckled, as he pointed at his faker. "Hey hey, aren't YOU the one who went after me!? You're just as foolish as I am!" "I was trying to punch it into the trap, you idiot!" Shadow defended himself, a slight bit of annoyance in his tone! "Because of you, we're losing precious time we could be using to go through those ruins! You're lucky this place is so old, none of the traps even work." Shadow pointed upwards at the ceiling, which was covered in spikes. It's supposed to go down, but since it hasn't been used in years, the mechanisms were highly rusty, preventing them from closing in...
 
"Urgh... Are you sure you can't just teleport us out with chaos control?" Sonic asked, as Shadow just looked to the side. "I can't use it without the chaos emerald, remember? You gave the only one we had to your stupid fox friend. And even THEN, it stops time, not teleport." Shadow grumbles, still annoyed at the hedgehog's stubbornness. "So unless Rouge manages to find a way to open the door quickly, We're stuck here." The two hedgehogs just looked around, Sonic feeling slightly bad he got them in this mess to start with... But quickly dismisses it with a smile! "Hey hey, it give us plenty of time to get to know each other!~" Sonic said, much to Shadow's annoyance. "For instance, how are you feeling right now?"
 
*Grrrwwwlll...*
 
"...Kind of hungry..." Shadow looked to the side, kind of embarrassed. the others were right, 5 coffee beans for breakfast wasn't enough... Sonic just kept his confident smirk. "Don't worry about it, I have no doubt we'll get out as soon as possible!" The blue hedgehog said, still highly optimistic, as Shadow would just groan in annoyance. "You better be right. Or else." Shadow
 
said coldly, as he went back to lay on the side of the wall. Sonic was... kind of concerned with that last phrase, but just shrugged and went back to waiting...
 
40 minutes later...
 
"Come on... my feets are KILLING ME!" Sonic was starting to get impatient now! He was really not used to staying in place for that long! What's taking them!? His buddy wasn't even talkative at all! "Come on, Tails, open the door already, I'm getting bored!" Sonic shouted, knocking on the door!
 
Shadow for his part was suffering more than just boredom. He was just so... hungry...! The dark hedgehog just wondered what to do, before he'd take a small glance at Sonic... Hmmmm... It was all thanks to him they were in this mess... Perhaps he should punish him for it...~
 
"Hey. Sonic." Shadow said, catching the blue hedgehog's attention. "Can I let you in on a secret?" The blue hedgehog looked at him confused, then just grinned! "Finally! We get to the juicy stuff!" The hedgehog cheered! "Lemme guess, is it about a movie you love to watch but your edgy persona could get shattered if someone found out? Some secret lover you're too embarrassed to confess to? Is it about your real name? I bet it's something like Terrios!" The dark hedgehog just groaned hearing the suggestions. "...No... It's about... well, myself..."
 
"As you are aware, I have some black arms DNA in my body." Shadow explained, as Sonic just listened to the dark hedgehog. "As such, some of my biology may be different from yours per example. It includes things I am able to eat. I usually eat the same thing as you all, because it's... less than ideal..." The black hedgehog looked to the side, as Sonic chuckled, deciding to go for a joke. "Ooooh, so you eat concrete? That's perfect, maybe you can eat this doo-" Sonic stopped right in his track, as Shadow looked right into his eyes, his red iris glowing a bit in the dark...
 
"...I can eat PEOPLE, Sonic. Straight up."
 
The blue hedgehog stayed silent, not sure what to say... after a few seconds, he spoke again, his smug voice turning into slight confusion... "C-Come on, Shads, Do you know how SILLY that sounds? I-I mean, I've never even seen you eat anyone before! How can you say that?" Sonic asked, as Shadow looked down... "I've... Never got to. I was aware I could do this since the Ark. Gerald asked me to do it to Maria if I didn't cure her, so we'll at least be together forever, but I didn't want to do that..." The black hedgehog closed his eyes for a bit... Then looked at him once more. "I didn't want to eat anyone during my time here, since It'd just slow me down, and I'm sure it's frowned upon by G.U.N... There are times where I wanted to just get someone in my stomach, but I always managed to resist that urge... Until now." Shadow's voice took a shift after he said that, glaring at the blue blur... "Until now!?" Sonic asked, confused. "Shadow, what are you talking about? There's only the both of us in..." The gears would slowly turn in the Hedgehog's head, as his confused look suddenly went into one of shock and worry. "No way...!"
 
Shadow, for his part, uncrossed his arms and licked his lips. "It's truly nothing personal, Sonic... But like I said: I'm starving, and we've been here for an hour. I have to eat something, and if it has to be my rival, so be it." And so, without another word, Shadow quickly pounced at Sonic, as he went to try and stop him! Soon enough, the two hedgehogs would be struggling against each other... Nowhere to run, so Sonic's best bet was to overpower his rival... but that's no easy task...!
 
"SHADOW! SNAP OUT OF IT! WE DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!" Sonic tried to bargain, yet all it did was make the dark hedgehog release a scary chuckle. "I'm afraid not. If the ultimate lifeform deems you as food, that's what you'll be. You're all mine, Sonic...!" The two kept pushing against each other, but soon... Shadow managed to get a grip on the blue Hedgehog's arms, and managed to get them up! "Hmmph. I've seen Motobugs defend better." Shadow scuffed, not resisting the idea to insult Sonic once more. Sonic obviously didn't take it well, trying to kick him off to no success... "Come on, Shads... What about Egghead!? We still have to beat him-" The blue hedgehog was interrupted as Shadow lazilly licked his cheek, causing the blue hedgehog to shudder... "Mmm... Not bad... Don't worry, all your enemies will share your fate if I have my way. Now come here..."
 
Shadow opened his mouth wide, as his stomach grumbled once more, giving Sonic slightly more time to realize how serious this was going to be... Before soon, he'd shove his whole head in his maw, causing the poor speedy hedgehog to frail around more!
 
"SHADO-MMMMPPPHHH!" *CHOMP!* *GLLLLLLK!~*
 
As soon as he got shoved in, the dark hedgehog quickly started to take more and more swallows... That blue bastard may be a pain, but DAMN didn't he have an exquisite flavor~ Shadow moaned in delight, as his tongue would rub over his prey's face whether he liked it or not... Soon enough, the dark hedgehog would resume his meal and continue swallowing...
 
The hedgehog kept kicking his legs around, but it was unfortunately useless... The ultimate lifeform was overpowering him... Sonic cringed, as slowly more and more of him went down the ultimate lifeform's troat, only able to just sit tight to let it happen... man this sucked...
 
*GLLLLLK!~* *SLLLLRRRRRRPPPPP!* *GLRK!~* *GLP!~* *SLLLLRRRRRRPPPP!~*
 
And well the dark hedgehog made quick work of the blue blur, effectively causing his stomach to get larger... In the dark room they were in, it'd be rather hard to notice any change to Shadow's misdirection... but no matter. Releasing a small belch, Shadow started to rub his belly slightly. "*URP!* Hmmmph. For being such an annoyance, I'll give you this: you felt pretty great to devour whole..." Shadow admitted, smiling to himself...
 
Inside, the blue hedgehog was NOT having a good time... Shadow's belly was already starting to close in around him, making it really hard for the blue blur to move! "D-DAMNIT, SHADOW, WHAT THE HECK!?" The blue hedgehog shouted, rather annoyed as he kept trying to find a
 
way out... Yet all it caused was Shadow to pant slightly... "Again, Sonic, this is nothing personal. I was just starving, and you were in my way. All you can do now is await your end..."
 
Sonic soon froze after hearing Shadow say that, a weird sense of dread entering his body... "Y-You wouldn't..." Sonic said in a lower voice than usual, which did surprise Shadow, but he just kept rubbing his gut as he laid to the wall. "I'm afraid I do, Sonic. My stomach is gonna churn you up into nothing but nutriments to keep me going. Maybe that'll teach you to be less reckless, next time, if there even is one." Shadow explained, poking his gut while retaining his usual voice tone.
 
Obviously, Sonic did not like this one bit, as he'd soon wriggle around again, trying his hardest to spindash, climb back up his throat, ANYTHING...! "D-Damnit, Shadow, this is way too far! Get me out!" Sonic shouted, starting to lose his cool... Shadow's only answer was to keep rubbing, a small belch escaping his lips as his acids started to work on the hedgehog...
 
*UUURP!~*
 
*Gurgle...* *Churn...* *Glorp...* "Mmmmm~" *Groaaaaaan...*
 
Time passes... the ultimate lifeform's stomach acids were quite restless trying to break down the blue hedgehog's body... The poor hedgehog felt like he had been in here for hours now, his struggles had already weakened quite a bit... But he couldn't give up yet... He had to escape! "C-Come on, Shads, it's not funny anymore... Just get me out..." The blue hedgehog asked once more, hoping his rival would eventually get him out... Yet all Shadow did was scuffed to himself. "Pathetic. You're already giving in? Perhaps I overestimated you... Just digest already, Hedgehog, it'll be better for the both of us." The ultimate lifeform asked, giving a brutal squeeze to his gut, making Sonic yelp!
 
Sonic was feeling so weak... and the acids were up to his head now... he was really going to die in here... All because he got too cocky and lead them into a trap... "Ugh... Shadow, please... this is crazy... Lemme Go already...!" Sonic begged one last time... yet all he received as an answer... was the pred to just Squeeze his belly once more and release another belch, causing the hedgehog to pass out for the last time...
 
*UUUUURP!!!* *Gurgle...* *Glorp...* "...Here we go... Sayonara, Sonic the Hedgehog..."
 
- Half a hour later
 
"Ha! Finally managed to get the mechanism worked! Surprising, considering how old this mechanism was..."
 
Outside, Tails, Rouge and Knuckles were just trying to figure out a way to get their two leaders out of that darn trap... It took far longer than expected, since there were alot of robots in the are, but they finally made it... Rouge grinned, flying back to the ground next to the two boys, as
 
Knuckles seemed more annoyed than anything! "Hmmph. I still bet I could have managed to break it open!" He complained, as Rouge chuckled. "Of course, I'm sure the 50th punch was going to break the door... Now, foxboy, do open the door~" Tails nodded, as he'd press the hidden button that would have opened the trapdoor had it worked properly... "Alright! I hope it's going to work..."
 
And so, the door opened, as the trio cheered! They expected to see both hedgehogs coming out together, with both of them either enjoying their time or hating it fully, but instead... They saw a single silhouette...
 
Only Shadow would leave the trapdoor, although even then he looked far more different then he did at the start of the mission. His stomach looked a bit more chubby, and fairly soft too, almost like Shadow had just gone on an ice cream binge... It still churned and gurgled a bit, but it's probably nothing... Something else that changed, was the dark hedgehog's lower body... His tights were fairly fatter now... Matching how big his stomach ended up... his ass was also a bit bigger too... guess whatever he ate was very filling, uh?
 
"Alright, which of you has the emerald?" Shadow asked, uncaring as to how the trio was eyeing him... "Uuuuuh... Why, that would be me..." The bat said, showing the cyan emerald to the ultimate lifeform... "But wasn't Sonic with you, big guy? Unless he managed to find a way to escape before you? Oooh how embarrassing it must be, ultimate life form~" Shadow sighted, as he just puffed up his cheek before...
 
*UUUAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOORRRRRRRPPPPPPPP!~*
 
The ultimate lifeform released a huge belch right in Rouge's face, causing her to groan in disgust... Yet even more concerning was just what got shot out of his mouth... Only barely missing rouge, and falling on the ground... Were a hedgehog skull with a few blue quills on it and a half-digested red shoe...
 
The trio would look at the remains in shock, the dots starting to connect, as they remained speechless... Shadow, for his part, just wiped his mouth, annoyed... "Hmph. You know what they say, Careful what you wish for. I'll be taking that." Shadow removed the emerald from Rouge's hand with ease, before shouting a "CHAOS CONTROL!" And disappearing from the heroes's sights...
 
"...Uh. I did NOT see that coming..." Knuckles was the first to break the silence, taking it pretty well, unlike Tails, who would fall on his knees and start to cry, not letting his eyes off the remains while muttering his bestie's name... "Oh dear... And here I thought he was just joking..." Rouge poundered, thinking back to the 2-3 times the ultimate lifeform told her about that weird ability he had when they were on missions... And now, he did it... his very first prey... The spy just patted the two boys, a bit of worry coming to her. "As of now, I'd suggest you boys try and not be too big a bother to Shadow as of now. It won't surprise me he'd make you join Sonic on his waistline if you do..."

"Rise and shine, faker!"
 
Sonic was awoken by feeling a rather rude squeeze, as he'd quickly try to look around! Seemed like he was out of Shadow's belly, and out of the old trap! That's awesome! But... Why couldn't he move? Why couldn't he speak?
 
Then, he got squeezed once more... And it occurred to him... Oh no... He WAS still kind of alive, but now... His soul was now part of Shadow's gut... And he could feel everything Shadow did to it...
 
"You didn't think I'd just end your life like that, did you? Oh no... I used the chaos emerald to bond your mind to my body permanently as a reminder of our rivalry~" Shadow said, looking at the glowing emerald while patting his belly, causing Sonic to groan once more... "You know, I think I prefer you this way... You're finally quiet for once~"
 
"Ugh... This is embarrassing..." Sonic thought to himself, being not at all happy with his predicament... "Am I seriously going to spend the rest of eternity as Shadow's fat gut? This blows... I wanna be free again..."
 
Shadow just rubbed his gut once more, as his gut churned once again. "Heh. I can tell you don't like your predicament... Maybe in the next life, You'll be more careful where you're going when you're fighting." Shadow whispered, feeling a rather sick sense of satisfaction knowing his rival had no way out... He'd then take a glance at one of Eggman's symbols on the wall...
 
"You know... With you gone, I think I'll take over as Mobius's hero... As well as eating all of those nemesis you have you keep alive for some reasons... Keep the world Maria adored safe once and for all..." Shadow licked his lips, just picturing all of those he absolutely hates meeting their end in his gut... "Obviously, if anyone tries to stop me, they'll go in here as well. Oh, I kind of hope your friends try to stop me... It'd be a shame to have your soul alone in my belly forever..." Obviously, Sonic did not like this plan, but he really couldn't do or say anything about it... All he could do is hope Tails or Amy wouldn't attack the predator...
 
"But for now..." Shadow stretched, still trying to get used to his added weight... "Let's go. We still have no idea just what these ruins' purpose was." And so, Shadow dashed off, his tights squishing against each other with all of his skating... The black hedgehog was finally rid of his rival, and he had quite the meal to go with it~ Today was simply a wonderful day~
