A nefarious unicorn kidnaps soft-footed beings to satisfy his foot fetish as the hooves of his own kind can't provide what he needs. If he can also earn bits delivering his targets to the clients like this yoshi, then even better! As for the yoshi, the pony is not sure if other creatures such as it exists, but from what he understands, the creature seems to be very far from home. He has no idea how it has bits, but he doesn't care as long as the yoshi keeps paying him.
I don't really know much about MLP, but I happen to see these birds (Ocypete, Zephyra, and Ozomene), and ended up with this.
