Assuming that I don't get overshadowed by someone else, I think I might just get the first comment on this. Yay! Of course, considering how many 'Kaoru' roleplayers - better than I - there must be on Eka's, I'm relatively sure this picture isn't of my character specifically. 'Specially 'cuz my experience with Shekinah never quite reached this stage...but I still remember Miz Oldsoul quite fondly! With that off my chest, I'll just have to say...this is a really great picture, Feign. I mean, it's very interesting to stare at, and ponder... After all, the background seems to be left conspicuously ambiguous. Shifting shades of red and blue with the overlay of Kaoru... gah, better quit that or I'll be writing poetry in my comments before you know it. The expression on the character's face is most definitely one I could imagine Kaoru - from the show, or even my Kaoru - possessing in such a situation... The expression of one totally unconcerned with the deterioration of his physical body. I mean, getting into that, the damage visible is pretty gruesome - but that's Evangelion-esque on its own, as well, because whenever the mutilations came in Eva, they came hard, and fast, and unflinchingly. Even the appearance of torn flesh, the bend of the limbs, suggests that his form is being pulled apart from all sides. Perhaps not gut-wrenchingly quickly, but gradually, and he's just drifting apart in the process... I kind of like the color contrast between the blue skin, the 'red marble' - Core - and the eyes. The coloration of the last two are another reason I'm pretty sure there's another Kaoru-roleplayer lurking about - one I'd be glad to meet! - but they're perfectly correct for the Evangelion-Kaoru. I really find his relaxed expression interesting and somehow appealing, because I've always thought of him as truly unworried about his own life... And I kinda like how the position of his remaining hand makes it almost look like he's waving. The blurry outlines around the body are exactly what I'd imagine the diffusing elements of that blue form to look like as they floated away, and you've preserved Kaoru's Angelic genderlessness, as well. Overall, I really think this is an interesting piece. To look at, and to think about...you've really captured an Evangelion-ish feeling with it. I really ought to talk to you more often. -Kaoru

Hmm, I drew this right after the RP... and it may have been close to a year ago. On Liero's IRC channel. Regardless, it was a long time ago, but there has only been one Kaoru roleplayer that Shekinah has interacted with at all. Especially since I haven't played her in ages.

Huh. Guess my 'infallible' memory finally tuckered out...heh. I'm amazed that I don't remember this particular event, especially as it looks like it was pretty neat. I remember a lot of touching events with Sheki, but for some reason this isn't among them. I'm sure if I look back, I'll find it, though...nnn. So why don't you play Sheki anymore, Feign?

I pretty much haven't had time to play anything in IRC since I returned to taking classes. Though after May 6th or so, I should be able to get back into that. Of course, all my time in city of Heroes might have something to do with it too... >_<
