That's a good question lol, I think she doesn't care if that person is still alive. Once swallowed, they no longer exist.

Hammerspace isn't used enough.
I had a whole story somewhere, where the pred has a long line of prey in their intestines. One gets digested every now and then. But it's a whole human. So they only need to digest one every week or two.
But they eat almost every day.
So despite being stuck thin, they have a supply of prey inside that could go on for years.

(Because it was a fantasy they could also regurgitate specific ones if they wanted somehow. Not having to regurgitate them in order? I dunno, still hot. I should work on it again.)

So the hammerspace keeps the prey alive... sounds like a grueling, excruciating, cramped existence... Looks like it'd be fun!
