Tortured Nightmares
I came around to a very shocking sight. I was free of my bonds, but Diagla and Palkia were still chained. I noticed that Cresselia was doing her best to hold off the attackers, but not even one as full of light as she was could take on Darkrai and the renegade master Giratina. I figured she had sliced my chains, and I wished to be with Kyorui.
I appeared next to three frightened pokemon: Guy, Kyorui, and Eric. I told them in a low whisper, "guys, you have to get the others and get out now. You don't know what's going on, and if you continue to pursue Giratina, your lives will be at stake." They turned and ran, but I didn't know what from until Giratina pulled me back into the room.
He shook his head, and before delivering a blow that would have rocked the foundations of a skyscraper, said these simple words, "You think you saved them? You didn't, for I will personally see to their demise for your meddling in my affairs." I stayed standing, and looked directly into his eyes. "Do your worst to me, Giratina. But if you lay a single claw on my friends, you'll wish you hadn't been created. " His blow from earlier did its work, and I slumped over, still concious. Giratina then directed his aura into the amulet, causing a chaotic black aura to shine forth from my own body, and causing Bloodwrath to be awakened in me. "Now," he said, "Our little 'friend' here is willing to cooperate."
I suddenly felt my entire mind go numb. By directing his aura into my body, he had taken control of my mind. I tried to move, but couldn't. He knew all my thoughts, all my feelings, and even knew my moves. He commanded me, in a sinister voice, "Now, attack Cresselia, Nate."
I had her beat in two moves. A swift Dragon Claw to her head, then a well placed Blast Burn to her entire body. She dropped to the ground, fainted and defeated. "Now, strip her of that which she treasures most. Pluck her feathers from her body." Although I didn't want to do it, my body involutarily began to rip out Cresselia's feathers.
I didn't do this for long, however. My friends came in, and a pokemon I had never seen before. Jake, realizing they had suceeded with their plot to control me, charged forward. He slammed me head-on, and I fell to the ground. Now, it wasn't just Giratina controlling me. He gave me back the one curse of my mind I didn't want control of: my Bloodwrath.
I pushed Jake off of me, and at the same time saw the other two rush over to help Diagla, Palkia, and Cresselia out of their bonds. I jumped up, and charged toward what the Bloodwrath called an obstacle. I swung at Jake, barely missing his neck, completely overshooting him, and quickly followed with another claw.
This time, however, he fought back. He jumped, and fired his piston-like legs into my back, sending me sprawling flat on my stomach. He tried to use Dragon Claw, but the Bloodwrath wouldn't have it. I evaded, and then my mind came under full control of Giratina again, and I used Fissure. I laughed on the inside, for I knew Jake wouldn't even be touched by it.
He hovered over the fissure, and summoned Draco Meteor. It connected, and I was knocked flat on my back. Now, he also went berserk, just not to the same degree as the Bloodwrath. He pinned me to the ground and struck blow after blow to my body. Hovering on the edge of death, I saw he was contemplating whether or not to kill me.
Using the split-second opprotunity I had to speak, as one gets before dying, I said, "Jake, kill me. It's the only way." He charged up my death, the most powerful Hyper Beam he ever made, when I was hit in the neck and knocked unconcious. I awoke to hear Giratina say, "That can be arranged." I heard the plan they had in mind: Darkrai was going to use Dark Void, and then Giratina was going to kill them in their nightmare. We had been through to much to let them suceed. I broke the mind control he had over me, the red mist leaving my eyes, and jumped up just in time to see Darkrai use Dark Void. On Jake.
"Cresselia, wake up, I need something." She stirred, and saw that I was myself again. "Yes, Nate, what is it that you need?" "I need a feather, one that can awake sleepers. We don't have much time. I heard them talking, and Giratina is going to kill Jake in his nightmare!"
I waved the feather in front of Jake's face, and touched it to his heart. His breathing returned to normal, but he didn't stir. "What's going on here? Why isn't it working?" "I can tell you why..." I heard a voice from behind me say, "But you won't like the answer..."
