Nate was pulling the boat along using a rope tied to the underside of Avenger. He was doing this for two reasons; one was to get the boat out to sea, and the other was to clean his fur of the falcon�s saliva, which had slicked down his fur.
Ciara was riding in the ketch, and telling Nate where to direct the boat. �Nate, rock ahead,� the squirrel told him, and Nate pulled the ketch over a ways, missing a jagged boulder sticking up from the surface of the water.
