Wow shes had an interesting past:D Hmmm shes kinda like a living Lich in a way with the amulet being her phalactery.

Interesting point. Not exactly, as the Amulet doesn't contain her soul or anything, but it is indeed the key element to her powers. The powers are her own, but by the demonic/angelic/whatever contract she agreed to the Amulet is the outlet for it. Basically whoever offered her the "contract" wanted her to be as much a helpless victim at times as she is a powerful tormentor at others.
