This is Annelique, one of the main characters from Shells. It's obviously not one of her joyful daisy angel moments. Rather, this is one of those moments of clarity that she'd really rather not have. Because I'm sadistic to my characters.

This was sort of the painting equivalent of a sketch. It was all done using a tablet.

One should always be sadistic to one's characters. Particularly when they're as sweet and innocent-looking at this one.

Funny, I always pictured her as a blonde for some reason! >_<.

Always lots of emotion, a good cature of her. I did picture her blonde though...

I agree with Throku. It's done very well. It's like she is behind a quartz wall or something trapped and giving up the will to fight anymore. Excellent job.
