Basic notes on how to use color effectively in a simple program like Open Canvas. Since you have different layers at your disposal, you don't have to do too much work to get proper-looking color transitions and shading. These skills will carry over to a more professional editing suite like Photoshop, however photoshop completely blows OC out of the water when it comes to digital art quality. I simply dislike photoshop for the way it handles input from my tablet (probably a setting I haven't checked)
