This is a series of illustrations for Groblek's excellent story "The Party". I'll quote from the story in the picture descriptions.

Jim milled about with the rest of the guests in the mansion, occasionally looking over at his wife, who'd had the misfortune of being cornered by one of her co-workers who seemed inclined to talk her ears off. He let that run for a good while before gliding his way over and tapping Cassie on the shoulder. “Sorry to interrupt, love, but can we talk for a moment?.”

“Excuse me, Lacey, I'd better go.” Cassie turned and followed Jim across the room. “So, what was it you wanted?” she asked, guiding him into another room.

“Nothing really, you just looked like you needed an escape before you strangled that woman.”
