Riannah was out sneaking from building to crumbling building, doing her best to stay out of sight. It was pretty easy due to those ruins having almost no light. Just a few barrels with something burning in them to cast some kind of light around and managing to chase the shadows a bit away.
She snuck closer to the light source, her black suit covering her up nicely and hiding her from view if anyone glanced her way. She froze in against the wall as she heard someone, a few someones approach. They were chatting to each other in some language she didn't understand. They settled down around the burning barrels and kept on chatting to each other, not paying any attention to anything outside of their little sanctuary. And Riannah wasn't going to disturb them if she could help it.
She finally found what she was looking for, a hole in the ground, and it was leading down deeper into the concrete labyrinth the ruined city had turned into.
She drops down, not making a sound as she lands on the concrete.
The darkness surrounds her and makes it hard to see what is hiding in the corners of this strange room. She starts digging through her backpack before pulling out a piece of parchment. She mumbles some word and then the cave lights up around her as the parchment crumbles. The vixen gets up and stretches out before whispering, "thank you Magicka." and making her way deeper into the strangely square cavern. She passes strangely rotten metal beasts in different colors. They look pretty beat up and literally smashed into pieces in some places. She keeps walking deeper into this eerie resting place, the layer of dust on the floor telling her that this place has been undisturbed for quite a long while.
She finally finds what she's looking for. It's crammed in between two dead metal beasts. The only sound that can be heard is the sound of glass shattering under her feet.
She steps into the tunnel and looks around; this seems much older than the cave she just left behind. This cave is damp earthly walls, packed pretty solidly, and it isn't about to collapse, even if it might have looked like it.
A few meters deeper inside and the hallway open up into a small chamber, and someone lives in here.
There is a table in the middle and a small pile of furs out to one side, like someone was the furs as a makeshift bed.
Riannah steps closer into the den and looks around and she can hear someone from around the corner saying. "Settle down and relax, I'll be right there."
Riannah does as she's told and settles down at the table before looking down at where the voice is coming from.
A few moments pass before a small humanoid emerges from deeper inside. He's carrying a teapot and he smiles at Riannah, "ahh. A treasure hunter, eh?" Riannah just looks over at him, not bothering to reply. He pours two cups of tea, one for him and one for her. "The item you are looking for is still here, it's deeper inside, but I would suggest you don't go for It." she lifts her teapot up and looks up him as she takes a sip, "oh? And why would I want to not go for it?" He looks at her with a soft smile, "because no one has ever managed to get to it? Or because it's cursed and it will ruin anyone that comes in contact with it?"
She smiles softly, taking another zip, "fairy tales, just fairy tales and myths."
He smiles, shaking his head, "ahh, to be young and confident again." and sighs, "I have seen things you wouldn't even believe, kiddo... Riannah nods and smiles, sounding like she's just entertaining him, but she doesn't believe in him.
He shakes his head and points, "down and to the left, since I just can't seem to convince you otherwise."
Riannah nods and gets up, "I'll be right back. With the artifact too." before running down the hall he pointed her down.

She follows the small corridor into what looks like a small temple area. All there really is is a small shrine in the middle with a black globe resting on a pillow. Riannah steps over, lifting it up and studying it. Its cold to the touch, and there seems to be something swirling around inside of it, some kind of black fog. She lifts it up, "there's something wrong about you... it's just a feeling I got... before plopping it down into her backpack and starting to head out.I just wonder why he kept warning me about it...

She enters his part of the cavern and looks around, "uh, you still around?"
He walks out around the corner and smiles at her, "you got what you came for?" Riannah nods and points at her backpack, "yeah, I got it!" before looking at him, "I just didn't have any problems getting it." He nods and smiles at her, "I'm the guardian, and I'll let you have it, because I like you... Riannah nods and smiles at him softly, "thank." He nods, "always nice when people can be bothered to listen to you... now get back to where you came from."
She nods, dashing off and getting out upstairs again.

A few hours later and the vixen, now having changed into a tank top and a pair of rather tight looking shorts. Both of them are helping to show off her attributes and her general slim body.
She heads into her usual after work place, a bar, and looks around before heading to a table where another fox is sitting, seems she knows this fox.
She sits down in a chair opposite the other fox and smiles at her, "hey Magicka."
The other vixen, Magicka leans in and smiles, "hey Riannah." Magicka has green hair and she's wearing a simple dress.
Riannah smiles and leans in, "tell me, girl. How goes your hunt for a mate?" Magicka sigh and looks back at the other vixen, "terrible, I can't find a gentle male... Riannah nods and smiles at her, "you know, there's always me, if you really want a mate, girl." Magicka smiles back at her, "I'm flattered, but I'm pretty sure I'm straight, Riannah... Riannah grins and nods, "just remember the offer always stands... And besides, it never hurts to ask... Magicka just smiles and shakes her head, "you just never give up do you?" Riannah smiles and shakes her head, "you should know that by now, hun... I never give up, and I never quit." she smiles and just looks at Magicka for a few seconds before grabbing her backpack and opening it, "I got what you asked me for." and start pulling it out. Magicka gets up, placing her hands on Riannah's backpack as she says, "don't show it off in here, you never know whose watching."
And, almost as on que. The door to the bar opens and a rather strong looking wolf steps in, looking around like he owns the place. Two other males are following behind them; they both act as if he's the boss, which he probably is for them.
Riannah is busy digging though her backpack and Magicka is trying her best to make sure she doesn't pull anything too interesting out of said backpack.
The wolf notices them and start heading over towards them. Magicka looks up and over at Riannah, "uh, girl I think we have some problems incoming... Riannah nods and looks up, seeing the wolf standing there, grinning down at her, his arms crossed.
Riannah sighs and looks up at him, "it's you... before looking over at Magicka, "shall we take our leave. I suddenly want to get out and stretch my legs."
Magicka starts to get up as the wolf moves in closer, meaning to grab Riannah. She's just too quick, as she suddenly gets up and aims a kick, letting the sole of her shoe connect with his muzzle with a not a pleasant sound. Riannah just makes sure to get outside, and making sure her backpack is with her.
She crawls up on the roof and lays still, trying to calm down and listening to anything unusual downstairs.
She doesn't have to wait long as a few seconds later the wolf yells out rather loudly, "Thief! I got your companion; if you want her to come out of this alive you turn your backpack over to me now."
Riannah crawls forward slowly, just so she can peel over the edge of the roof.
The wolf is standing still, looking around, apparently trying to spot Riannah. Luckily for her he's not looking up.
He has Magicka held in against him tightly, one arm around her and the other one holding a knife in against her throat. His goons standing behind him, trying to look tough.
Riannah pulls back, not wanting to be seen.
A few moments pass before there is a loud thud followed by screaming and the silence, and then finally Magicka swearing.
Riannah crawls over and peaks down, just taking the whole scene in. It looks like the area just outside the bar had been hit by an earthquake. Magicka in front of a huge hole, and she's dusting loose earth out of her dress and hair. The thug and his minions is nowhere to be seen.
Riannah slides down and drops down beside the other vixen and says, "You have got to learn to control yourself, girl." Magicka looks upset, like she's about to cry as she runs a hand over her breasts and says, "he... he grabbed me here...
Riannah nods, pulling her friend in against her "I know, hun. And don't worry, not everyone is like him... Magicka nods and looks up at her,it just... sometimes it feels so hopeless... Riannah nods, pulling her in against her in a soft hug.

Meanwhile somewhere far away. In a dusty room, looking like a cross between a library and a wizard's study. A figure in a heavy black coat is sitting in the middle of a room, very focused on a crystal ball. He's using it to watch what Riannah and Magicka is doing, and he seems to be really interesting in Riannah's backpack, for some reason.
A bat, brown furred and female, and going by her fangs she would be a vampire bat. She's wearing a dark red dress. She moves closer to the cloaked figure, "finding what you are looking for, Master?" He nods and looks back at her, "that I have, Arianna. Prepare my wagon, I need to take a little journey." he gets up and slides the cape down from around his head, revealing what he looks like. It's a bleached skull, looks like he's been dead for an eternity. No light in the eye sockets or any other signs of possession.
A few moments later and Arianna returned, "All the necessary arrangements have been made, master."
He nods, "good. I'll be off. You take care of the house Arianna."
