We're heading towards a desert. Me, Riannah and Magicka. Magicka has tracked down a spellbook she really wants, and it's apparently buried in some godforsaken ruin somewhere at the end of the world, that's what it feels like to me at least. Riannah and Magicka are a few steps ahead of me and they are chatting to pass the time. They seem to be talking a lot. I walk up closer and smile at them, trying to figure out what they are talking about.
Riannah smiles at magicka the way she always do, the way that made me think they were more than friends in the beginning, but Magicka has showed me that it's just Riannah that thinks that, Magicka has no interest in the other vixen in that way.
she giggles and points back at me, "seems your new friend want to join in on the discussion." Magicka smiles back at me, "hey Fairlyn." I speed up and walk up between them before nodding at them both, " hey you two. what were you talking about?" Riannah giggles and Magicka blushes softly. Riannah smiles at me and Magicka, "we were talking about Magicka's wish to be a mother.. And her looking for a mate.." I nod and smile at Magicka, "well, you have any guys in mind? or are you more interested in girls?" Magicka smiles at me softly, still blushing, "I uhh. I prefer males and yeah.. I do have someone in mind.." I smile at her and Riannah, "is he cute?" Riannah nods, looking me over and grinning, "he is.. He's really cute." She smiles at Magicka, "I hope he feels the same way about her, she really needs a boyfriend." I nod and wrap an arm around Magicka as I say, "yeah, I hope he turns out to be a great guy and takes good care of you." Magicka smiles, wraps her arm around me and nods, "I'm sure he will. He seems to be a great guy." Riannah nods and settles in against my other side, "he sure seems to be a great guy." I nod, wrapping my arms around them and pulls them in closer, "I want to meet him at some point.." riannah nods and smiles, "don't worry, Fairlyn. You will meet him, if he says yes.." Magicka looks at Riannah strangely, but I don't notice it.

It's a few hours later and we are closing in on the abandoned city. it's ruins rising up from the desert sand like the remains of some giant creature. We slowly get closer and Magicka is looking around as Riannah comments, "I don't like this place, it's like there's someone here.." We make our way in between two buildings. Magicka is holding on to me rather tightly as she leads me forward. Riannah looks around nervously. a bottle suddenly comes flying down in front of us. Riannah grabs me and Magicka before throwing all three of us backwards, "Get Down!"
I can feel a shockwave of cold running down over me and a bit of snow settling down on my muzzle. It really confuses me, as there's not supposed to be snow here at all, it's a desert. Riannah and Magicka are both getting up now, neither of them are hurt, which I'm very thankful for. I look back at where we were standing. There is a wall of ice there now, it's tall smooth and I have no idea how it got there.
Riannah is yelling up at the building and she's sounding really pissed, "Alchemy, I know you are up there somewhere!" Magicka grabs me and pull me in against her as she says, "you stay with me." I nod and smile at her, "sure, and you'll protect me." she nods, "I promise."
Riannah is still yelling at the rooftops now she's yelling, "Alchemy, show yourself you cheating excuse for a second rate alchemist."
A black pantheress steps forward and yells back, "look who's talking, you sorry excuse for an assassin." The pantheress is wearing black clothes and a black cape, so it's hard to get a good look at her shapes. She's holding one potion bottle in her left hand and a few more in her right hand. Riannah glares back up at her, "stop getting in our way." Alchemy smiles and steps a bit closer to the edge, "but it's so easy to track such a terrible assassin as yourself.." Riannah is looking like she's about to lose it at this point. She's holding up a dagger and aiming it at the panther. Magicka steps over, letting go of me as she really want to stop Riannah before they start fighting again. She grabs Riannah's arm and pulls the vixen in against her as she yells at Alchemy, "leave or I'll force you, and we both know I can.."

I'm stabnding a bit back and looking at Magicka trying to calm Riannah down. I suddenly feel someone grabbing my muzzle tightly, making sure I can't call out as I get pulled off. I look around, feeling rather scared as I see something white and thin wrapped around my muzzle. Seems he's a skeleton, and that's terrible news. I really don't like undead, they just want to kill the living, in my experience, at least. He pulls me up against the wall and extends his other hand, "give me the artifact." He says softly, yet demanding and it's really scary. I look at him, but don't move, I have no idea what he wants, nor what the artifact he's talking about is. I shrug, and that's what he really don't want to see, "I'll ask again, where is my artifact?" as he lets go of my muzzle and instead grabs my neck with his bony hand. I look at her, "I dunno, I don't even know what you are talking about." he lifts up a small engraved dagger and lifts it up in front of my chest, "then you are of no use to me, alive.." I gulp and look at him, my blood draining from my face, "you mean?" he nods, "yeah." before grabbing a better hold of the dagger, "yep, it's time for you to meet your maker.." before driving the dagger into my chest.

Magicka looks around nervously, "something's wrong.." before grabbing Riannah's hand and saying insistant, "something's wrong." Riannah smiles at her, "Magicka, go watch over Fairlyn, that should help you calm.." before looking around, "say, where is your foxy?" Magicka looks around, "Fairlyn, where are you?" Riannah grabs her arm, "let's go find him, you'll feel better once you got him close again.." Magicka nods and hugs her tightly, "yeah, I need my foxy now.." Riannah nods and pulls Magicka along as she calls out my name, hoping to find me too. Alchemy has fallen silent and is looking around too.
The vixen's finally find my body, dead. And the one that did this to me gone a long time ago.
Magicka just steps closer, silently looking down at me, like she can't accept what had happened here. Riannah steps closer to her and wrap an arm around her, not saying anything either.

Magicka finally steps forward and lifts me up before looking at Riannah, "I just want to go home now.." Riannah nods and smiles at her sadly, "me too."
Alchemy looks down from the roofs before throwing a book down in front of Magicka as she says, "I believe you came for this.." Magicka loks down at the book before looking up at Alchemy again. She doesn't want to let go of me again. Riannah picks up the book and looks up at where Alchemy was hiding earlier, but she has already left. Magicka and Riannah looks at each other before nodding in agreement, "we'll go home."

It's a long walk home, done in silence, neither of them is feeling that chatty due to what happened with me.

Back home and Both girls have settled back to doing what they usually do. Magicka is back to studying magic. Riannah is in the same room and studying her. Magicka is going through a book and writing something down. Riannah steps closer and looks at her, "what are you up to girl?" Magicka smiles up at her, "Studying something." Riannah nods, "over him already?" Magicka looks up at her before shaking her head, "nope. But I think I can bring him back here.." Riannah nods and smiles at her, "I'll do anything I can to help you, girl. Never give up hope!" Magicka nods and grins, "yep, we will get him back!"

I wake up somewhere strange with a splitting headache, a numb pain in my chest and the smell of sulphur in my nostrils. Something tells that this isn't home.
