wait are the cartidges triangluar? triangluar bullets were proven to be even more ineffective than the old musket balls.

@ Scifimyth
The bullet and shell itself is still cylindrical, but it is fitted into an additional, triangular jacket to allow for use with a tround quick load magazine. The load jackets themselves I imagine could be collected and reused, but they're just as easily discarded, like a clip.

@Baz
The thing that bothers me, is that the picture itself doesn't show, nor seem to have room for, the magazine. The diagram of the feeder shows the mag to be beneath the cylinder, yet there's no room, as the trigger and finger guard are there. No room for a mag.

@Anne
I -always- expect intelligent questions from you when it comes to this stuff.

The RD-44 itself doesn't have the magazine - I think it looks fuckugly.

The dardick system (not bullet-jackets; entire cartridges with cylindrical bullet developed independantly of Dardick and/or based on TV advertisements.

The Dardick system is instead used to re-fill quickloaders held on the belt in an ammo pouh

Triangle bullets...interesting.

Only the case is triangle, not the bullet itself

Im just thinking, would triangular rounds work? I mean I cant imagine it spinning in flight too well thus reducing accuracy? just thinking out loud here.

They don't. It's only the casing - see what Anne said, just remove 'and shell'.

The bullet itself is round.
