Never before had Jenny been invited to Sarah's sleepovers. Being a shy and timid girl, Jenny had always been on the fringe of the social groups that Sarah belonged too. "I really like the drawings Jen." Uttered Sarah.
The rest of the group nodded in agreement, Jenny couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"You know, I think we should be friends." Sarah continued "I'm having a sleepover saturday, you should come!"
"I-" Jenny stammered
"That's cool Jen, you know where I live?" Sarah interjected
"Y-yes" Spurted Jenny, bemused.
"Hey nice, see you later then Jen." She finished, handing the portfolio back to Jenny before walking off with her chattering group.
 
Jenny was Dumbstruck, never before had Sarah spoken directly too her, not even looked at her nicely. She gathered up her things and stuffed them into her bag, scrambling over dropped pens in excitement. For the first time in 'ever', the popular kids had asked her, Jenny Starkey, to come to one of their popular parties. For some unknown reason, 'Sarah' had taken a liking to her. And now she would be partying with the coolest kids in school.
 
That evening she skipped home, the happiest she had been in months. However so excited she was, she didn't happen to notice the three figures watching her return home. They continued to watch until they were out of view before stepping out of the shadows. One unraveled a crumpled drawing, a smile slowly growing on Sarah's face as she watched Jenny dissapear. This was going to be an exciting weekend.
