Thunderloud is my personal pony avatar. I haven't really been into drawing them lately, though my passion for the show hasn't waned. But I wasn't very happy with his design. My personal tastes in life have changed since I drew him last, and for a while I was playing on a MLP:FiM RPG forum (till the threads dried up).

This actually happened in it. He started off as a moderately depressed pegasus pony who worked the night shift for the weather factory, Overnight Storm sector. That's why his forehooves are scorched, their stained from working with lightning for years. But he took off one night when Princess Luna was receiving questions on the aniversary of her return, and he asked her to become a lunar pony to honor her. He's always heard stories of the Mare in the Moon, and it comforted him in those long nights before her return. Used to sing to her or tell her stories...well, he's a bit a lonely sod.

But Luna, being the overseer of the night, remembered this and granted him his wish. Now a night pony, 'Loud was filled with renewed confidence. After training for a while, he left his job to become a professional clown and hypnotist.

Now he travels all over Equestria, hitting new towns to entertain, meeting new people and generally filling them with awe or dread. Sometimes both at the same time. He's still a little spooky, but he means well.

Also, why do they have Griffins, hippogriffs, and unicorns but no pegasi as a species selection?
