The Keshyik is known as a forest dwelling member of the species. They are known to hunt small to medium sized mammals and reptiles, their favourite prey being young caribou. They hunt alone and ambush prey, rarely losing a potential meal. The forest Keshyik lives in cold, northern areas and has a long, soft coat. Bright colouring is common in males in breeding season(fall) and dulls down after this season is over. The run at high speeds on their strong hind legs, using the long tail for balance. The do not wear a mask, their head has no skin or fur, what is seen is their actual skull.
This certain Keshyik is a fighter. Its bright colours signify this, and it would most likely live in rocky areas near other Keshyiks, which it may fight in fierce battles.
