Not sure why I drew her looking so surprised, but I liked how the expression came out. You're welcome to think up your own explanation.
Finally got my own net connection, so I get to practice with my tablet AND listen to pandora. I *don't* plan to animate this, but I do have something else in the animation pipeline.

She's embarrassed because the guy is still alive. Clearly she puts a lot of faith in her ability to process prey and is embarrassed this guy managed to stay alive all this time.
