intruder, but now it’s time to end things. He lies on top of the
canine as he catches his breath. This isn’t the first time he
caught a trespasser on his turf, and it certainly won’t be the

two and half inch tall mutt runs close to a wall. His heart pounds
against his chest. It amazes him he outran a cheetah for so long.
Aeturnus curses under his breath. He should’ve known the feline
hasn’t left since he never heard the front door open, and now he’s
paying for his mistake. If he survives this moment, he’ll be more
careful in the future. His lungs and legs can’t go through this
sort of punishment on a daily basis.

carries a nude red fox back to his apartment at around midnight. He
knows the canine is the one who gave the Voreaphile Task Force
bastards information regarding where the potions are being made and
shipped to, among other things. His boss hasn’t said anything, and
the Heavy draft horse has no desire to wait for permission to deal

twenty-four year old rat with grey fur walks down a side street and
looks around. There are hardly any cars driving by. Perfect. There’s
less of a chance of somebody stopping him. The rodent looks at the
sky. The weather hasn’t been bad for mid-August. It’s around ten
thirty and the evening is warm but not unbearable. Not bad for a
place like Seattle. The rat doubts he’ll be around to see how bad

seven foot eight inch tall red fox steps out of a black Mercedes
