Night had fallen in the village of Pinyin, a few miles from the Temple of the Order of Flesh. Ti Bao, and her ally, Min Zuijiu, had spent the day searching the village with hopes of discerning the headquarters of the villainous Order of the the Beast, but with little luck. All they had learned was that the Order of the Beast’s attacks appeared to be coming from the north.

Weary from their search, Ti and Min returned to the Fa Pu Inn to spend the night.

The air was cold, and the thin, silk blanket the women shared did little to keep them warm. Moonlight poured through the window, painting the room silver and blue.

Min Zuijiu shifted and turned to Ti Bao. “Hey, Ti? Want to talk for a while? Or are you too tired?”

“We can talk,” said Ti Bao.

Min put her hands behind her head. “This is the first time we’ve been outside of the Temple, you know.”

“You could have left the temple two years ago,” Ti Bao teased, “if you hadn’t slacked off in your training.”

“Hey!” Min laughed. “Not everyone can be as driven as you. The way you always kept training, after everyone else had gone to rest...”

Ti Bao’s smile faded. “I want to stop the Order of the Beast and restore peace.”

“Well, yes, we all want that, but it seems like they’re something more to it for you...”

Ti took a breath. “When I was four years old, I watched the Order of the Beast devour my family. Everyone but me. I wriggling helplessly in the grasp of a hungry warrior-woman, about to slide down her throat and vanish forever into her gullet, when the Order of Flesh saved me. The Order of the Beast took everything I had... everything but my body and my spirit.”

Ti Bao’s voice was oddly calm, but Min was struck silent by her words.

After a few seconds Min said, “I’m sorry, Ti.”

“...Thank you for your sympathy, Min Zuijiu.”

Min turned and gazed out the window. “Its rather eerie, isn’t it? We’re all alone out here... no way of knowing what’s out there waiting for us... I’m scared, Ti Bao.”

Min’s voice was choked. “I’m scared of being swallowed alive and digested by something I’d never even see coming in this darkness.”

Ti found Min’s hand under the blanket, and grabbed it. “Min.”

“...Ti Bao?”

“I’m here for you. We’re together, and as long as we’re together, we can protect each other.”

Min smiled, laughed, and brushed away a tear. “I’m glad for that, Ti. I’m really glad we have each other... for protection.”

Min snuggled in a little closer. Ti Bao could feel the warmth of her body, could smell the scent of liquor on her breath... and something else, beneath the liquor... the sweet, musky scent of a woman. It had been a long, long time since Ti Bao had laid with a woman... she blushed like a child and turned her head away. Min moved closer. Her breath felt hot and moist on Ti Bao’s cheek. Ti Bao’s heart thumped, and droplets of sweat began to run from her brow.

“Ti Bao,” Min drawled.

“...Yes?” Ti Bao’s voice quivered with excitement.

“...Would you like to get naked?”

Since Dualgunner and I have spent the last few months torturing the hell out of Ti Bao via RP, I wanted to give the little warrior a moment of happiness. I plan to continue the interactive story, Ti Bao and the Order of Flesh at some point, but until then, I’ll end her story under the covers, with a beautiful and loyal friend.
