I am curious how the soul and body are different in this universe. It seems like the body can still technically function without one, if so what is the purpose of it?

When a physical body dies, the soul lives on normally. It's like an extension of your perception when you are still alive.

Ahh I see. So pretty much a good analogy would be like saved data for a game. The game can technically function without it, but if you wanted to continue after the game died you would need the data. Of course instead of data it is perception and an eternal soul... So every soul (Except Mune's) got to experience what it was like being an object, interesting.
