His role will mainly be as pred, but like J-Anne, the position tend to be as interchangeable as gender (so... whichever, but at least 75% pred). He and J-Anne share the headless trait (as well as any other characters I call "selves" further down the road), but it's a lot more useful to him as pred. He's more softspoken than J-Anne, who tends to speak her mind. He's also one to hide his emotions, while J-Anne emotes a lot.
