Among other things on the list of ''Not very bright ideas'', walking alone through the forest of shadows at night is propably one of the worst.
When the fear sets in, and you start to panic in the dark, it is very easy to get consumed by fear or even consumed by the shadows.

In this case, it is quite literally though.
