Opal is a young girl with a dark little secret. She was born as a vampire to human parents, but they had no idea until Opal sucked the blood out of her poor old aunt. Once her parents found about the true nature of their daughter, she was abandoned and left for dead in a field. However, before she could be torn apart by wolves, she was taken in by an elderly vampire. Opal grew up as an outsider because of her vampire instincts, and never had any close friends. When she was around 95, her vampire caretaker was killed by a human mob for terrorizing their village. Opal, angered by the loss of the only person who showed her any kindness and compainionship, attacked the village overnight and slaughtered everyone there. She killed the men and women with her sharp claws and fangs, and she devoured the children whole. After this, Opal romed the world alone, never showing emotion or mercy to anyone, not even other vampires. However, when she learned of a powerful weapon called Soul Edge, she decided to find it and use it to eliminate the human race. However, on this quest, she was brutaly beaten by the creature Astroth. Before he could kill her, she was saved by a noble female warrior who defeated Astroth and took Opal back to her village where the warrior mended Opals' wounds. At first, Opal was disgusted by the woman's chivalrous, but as time went on, Opal realized that not all humans were out to get her. The villagers were kind to her, and this changed her perspective on things. The warrior was even willing to teach Opal how to use a sword. Once she was healed, Opal left the village and headed back to where she left off, trying to find Soul Edge. Only this time, she was out to destroy it. She then got a tattoo on her belly to remind her of the warrior who saved her and changed her life.

As a vampire, Opal has many strengths as well as weaknesses. Opal can move extremely quickly and has very sharp claws which she keeps hidden under her gloves. She has vampire fangs as well and can suck the blood from any living thing in only a matter of seconds. Her swordsmanship is pretty good for someone like her who only recently learned how to use one. She uses her speed as an advantage to best her opponents when fighting with her sword. She can leap high into the air as well and can climb things with ease. She can also teleport to some extent, but only short distances. She was also born with an ability not even most vampires are familiar with. She can swallow humans whole and alive as well as other large creatures such as cattle or sheep. Despite being on the side of good, she won't hesitate to snack on a human here or there. The only time she eats humans is when they're standing in her way of accomplishing something or if they're evil. However, much like other vampires, she hates the sun and gets burned by it easily. She also hates garlic water because of its purifying powers.

She loves a belly full of blood or living creatures and fighting, but despises sun, garlic, water, and evildoers.
