It
wasn't often that he wrote late at night. Usually he preferred to do
so during the day since his quality of writing was higher. Or, at
the very least, the number of typos and dumb writing mistakes were
significantly lower when the sun was still up. But, writing during
the day hadn't been working. It was too hectic with work and friends
and Real Life™
and routines and chores and not using commas and "ands"
correctly and dozens of other things that constantly got in the way.
So

'Twas a dark, overcast night in Kanto. The skies grumbled and flashed, but no rain fell to the earth yet. Karver, a trainer who was caught out later than planned, half walked, half ran towards the nearest town and the shelter it offered.
