Yurei is my brand new character...and she is a ghost girl more or less...with the mentality of a child as she cannot seem to recall anything from her time when she was alive.
Her christening RP turned out to be quite the ride, between herself and one Asani. This is the RP that became the short story which ended on a rather interesting note to say the least.

Asani meets the ghost girl Yurei while in search of a little treasure...and as it turns out, the ghost girl isn't ghastly at all...but some rather 'fun' things happen over the course of their little 'expedition'.

... Um. It's an interesting concept, and I don't mean to be rude, but isn't Yurei a type of Japanese ghost? Isn't calling a ghost Yurei kinda like naming your kid Hippie?

I can see where you're coming from and I can understand it might seem redundant but it's just one of my many naming gimmicks I use to make it a little more...well to see if people actually get the name and why they're named as such. It's more or less a gimmick or play on words naming-wise.
It's meant more as either a little chuckle or for those who actually know what the name means. i.e. naming a rather plain girl Pleine. You could also chalk it up to me being lazy but I'd like to think I was being clever here.

Also, that is literally how names work. Names originally just described a person, and the Japanese are just as notorious of this as anyone. In English, one can name a wise person Sophia, which means wisdom, or a characters rival Emily, which likewise means rival. And if you want to get really specific, there is a japanese ghost named Yuki-Onna, which is a ghost woman who lures people into snow storms. What does Yuki-Onna mean? Snow Woman.

Interesting story and cool artwork. Did you draw the picture yourself?
