I'm always excited to draw monstergirls, so when the idea of drawing up a spidergirl was passed to me I was extremely excited, plus I've been promising something the endo peeps from chat could enjoy. Too much of the "D" word around! So hope they enjoy as well!
TLDR below
There's some history behind this pic that I'm required to make aware of as part of a mediated agreement. The character was based off a borrowed picture, and I was assured that the character was "owned" when asked, but the fact that the picture itself wasn't owned was underhandedly left out, and reverse image search at the time brought up nothing. I took the person at their word and started working, later I came to find out the picture was not theirs at all which put me in an odd position. I discussed it with someone fairminded who said to do what was right, and this is sound advice as using someone else's character ESPECIALLY in terms of vore might lead to messy circumstances. Fortunately reverse image search worked after couple weeks had passed, and I was able to get into contact with the real image owner. Who was more than understanding with me and willing to negotiate. In the end I could finish the picture to post it so long as I marked the character as being owned by them, AND metting out a public slap on the wrist while allowing the the commissioner to utilize the picture above.
I did discuss the incident with the culprit at length, informing them to be inspired by a picture is perfectly okay, and had the been up front I would have been more than happy to redesign the character to be unique. Theirs. And also the character owner themselves were getting a redesign down to a different species of the original character, so I wouldn't be horribly tainting something that was important to them.
I've been in discussion with all parties, who knew what I needed to say here. So this was a matter to inform at the OC owner's behest, and not to stir up trouble or discussion on the matter. So just enjoy the pretty picture and let's have the comments focus upon my work. Please?

What's the D word? Didgeridoo? Diego? Dihydrogen monoxide?

Stop guessing! Don't say it! Not with the endo people looking! They'll be upset!

Her hair is dazzling and her carapace is menacing. All of her genes and curves are immaculate. Ask for the issue of an OC's owner, I myself would tell them "there is nothing new under the sun".

Thank you for all you wonderful comments, and that last bit would work if coincidental, but I took great pains in following every detail from the original.

Never saw the original, but your version certainly takes the cake. The spiders facial expression is very well done, and the posing is excellent. I enjoyed the piece very much. The only part of the picture I didn't enjoy was the prey's facial expression. It carries more of "well this is mildly inconvenient" than anything else. But overall, quite well done, and probably one of the best pieces I've seen on the website. Keep up the awesome! =)

Your observations are spot on, I seem to have a tendency to neglect the prey a bit. Though the difference is not as much as in the past, I do wish I could have done it a *bit* better now that I look at it. As is I think it passes, but passes is not my end goal with art. I want EVERYTHING to ooze awesomeness.
And thanks a lot for the big compliment, I do appreciate the encouragement, though there are a LOT of good artists around in my opinion. I'm just glad I'm finally starting to catch up to them.
