The days that followed the events of Fieva's betrayal and Jiklok's escape were a considerable challenge. They had but what Fieva could hastily bring together before they left. Jiklok wondered why she insisted that the duo leave immediately. The truth being Jiklok would have been scarred in such a manner that all of his race would instantly despise him. Being exiled by a wolfkin tribe involved having your tail cut off and a permanent snarl eched upon your face. The removal of one's cheeks was an astoundingly wonderous sight. Jiklok was thankful of this and together the companions escaped unscathed. A pursuit quickly followed and Jiklok was forced to abandon is home, yet another similarity they both now had in common. Years had passed now and the two shared a life on the road.
   ...
Sprinting away a little elf lad was frightened. Being chased off very persistently by some humans. At a momment most critical the elf had looked back to see if he was being successful in avoiding his pursuers. This would lead to him tripping over a lump of risen dirt, most likely pushed up by roots from a nearby tree. He fell amongst the tall grass now with a sprained ankle. It would seem he had no hope now so he tried hiding in the grass. When he heard voices coming closer he froze and curled up hugging his knees afraid.
Human one - "Don't think that your let off because your a child. Give us back what you stole thief." The men were wearing similarly fashioned equipment. A sign that they were in a band with the other human tribes. They had a good storage of rations, so much so that the wandering elf boy believed the humans would not have noticed. If only he had known that there was three guardsmen watching the storage instead of two he might have been able to get away unnoticed. Perhaps he would have continued searching for something else instead. The elf boy tried his hardest not to breath so sporadically. This was proven futile as a human with an axe as opposed to his comrades sword and shields, grabbed the boy by the hair and lifted him up to his feet and tossing him in the middle of the guardsmen.
Human two - "Well go on then. Give it back or we'll have to rough you up." The elf boy couldn't really speak to them directly. Too afraid to look at the men directly. Looking down he could only sputter a few words out.
Elf - "I... dropped the food... when I was running away." The first guard cursed and kicked up some dirt. Followed by the third one confronting the boy. Raising him up by the collar.
Human three - "Well ain't that just peachy, stupid boy." Tossing him on the ground. "Can't leave empty handed. So I guess we will take yours. Only fair that a thief looses his tool to steal." The other guards begin to hold down the boy pulling his arm out stretched. The axe wielding guard prepared his weapon raising it up high. The elf thrashing about attempting to gain mercy with his pleas. Before he could cleave the boy's arm in two, a stone caught him over the side of the noggin. Looking over the guard saw something he didn't expect to meet.
Jiklok - "I hardly doubt your actions are justified comrades. Wouldn't it be more benificial if you taught the boy how to use his hands for something more proactive?" Standing there now, a simple wooden shield with a rounded metal center on his left arm. A hand and a half sword upon his back. Leather boots and simple dull green cloth pants with steel knee guards. A belt with a few sacks and a dagger attached.
Human three - "This is none of your buisness." Turning back to the elf boy and holding him down while the other guards continue intimidating the hellhound. The axe guard more angry at the male than just iratated.
Human two - "Get lost mutt! Go rut your cousin or whatever before I introduce you to my buisness end!" With this act Jiklok stood firm and just observed.
Jiklok - "I am sorry for the throw comrade but I needed your attention before you did something regrettable. Let the boy go, I'm sure he learned something from all of this." The first guard walked up to the second and began whispering.
Human one - "Let's just be done with him quick. We can take him, say he was an enemy scout." The second guard gave a nod and they both advanced. Jiklok prepared a stance and drew his blade. They went on either side of him, with thier basic plate mail and leather armor they were somewhat heavy. In any case Jiklok was still outnumbered and needed caution.
Jiklok - "I'll have to warn you, I'm kind of rusty. I'll try and not kill you." Not bothering to listen anymore the axe guard rushed him and swung downward with the axe. Jiklok hopped to the side and was forced to take a hit from the sword wielding guard. His shield took the brunt of the force and redirected it. The motion however continued and caught Jiklok in the shoulder. Burning slightly but otherwise not a major wound. Jiklok steps back behind the guard with the axe putting said guard in between the two. Jiklok then made a slash for his leg, only the axe guard had recovered from his swing beforehand and deflected Jiklok's. The hellhound was not gaining any ground now as the two closed in. Jiklok then raised his shield and threw it at the sword guard miraculously hitting him at the collar stunning the man. Jiklok then used both hands and thrust his blade at the second guard. It was difficult to deflect this with his heavy axe and he took the blow just below his ribs off to the side. The weaker woven armor only slowed down the thrust enough to not be fatal. The anger that the guard had was growing and he ignored the wound trying to cleave Jiklok in two. Dodging the weakened guard was risky but left him open for another strike. Jiklok opted to use a more direct strategy now and lopped off the guard's hand incapacitating him. By now the first guard recovered from the shield toss and began to advance. Jiklok pointed his blade at him and glared.
Jiklok - "Dare to test my steel with your flesh now comrade? I am quite curious how your bravery will hold up without your legs." The first guard stopped noticing his fellow guard on the ground trying to find his hand. He was a younger bloke who was probably assigned the position and not a volunteer. He lost his nerve and backed away to the last guard.
Human three - "What are you doing lad? Get in there!"
Hyman one - "He took us on at the same time and isn't even winded. I'm not being a cripple for this shit!" Jiklok cleared his throat to gain thier attention.
Jiklok - "Did I miss something or is this still supposed to be a battle? Perhaps you wish to negotiate your surrender terms? Release the boy and you all live, no other deals." He was now standing on top of the second guard who was still bleeding and was getting woozy. The third guard swallowed his pride and released the elf boy. In turn Jiklok kicked the axe guard and motioned him over to his comrades. He found his hand but Jiklok spoke up.
"That belongs to me now. You lost that privilege when you tried striking me." The anger in his face was apparent but Jiklok did not falter. That is, until the elf boy ran by the second guard and said guard pulled a dagger on the boy. He slashed at the boy making a long streak across his back. Jiklok growled so deep it might as well have been a roar to these men. Jiklok rushed the axe guard and knocked him to the ground. Then he proceeded to hack the body into nothing more than bloody chunks and tattered cloth on the ground. By now the first guard sprinted away of fear and the third guard had his weapons up in an effort to defend himself. He lost that courage when Jiklok turned his eyes to him. He quickly ran off as well. The elf boy layed back in the grass now afraid of Jiklok as the beastkin reduced the once human into a pile of meaty paste on the ground. The hellhound's bloodlust subsided soon enough and he was breathing heavy. Now coated in bloody streaks all over he looked around for the boy. Sheathing his blade after wiping some blood off.
"Boy, if you are still around, I can tend to your wounds" He waited for a response or a sign but gotten niether. Sighing now he looked around once more but still found nothing. Jiklok then grabbed a sack from his belt and tied it off to a low branch on the tree and walked away. Some time passed and the elf boy cautiously secured the bag looking inside. It was a few salves inside and other medical supplies like wrapping bandages. He stood there for a while wondering why the wolfkin even bothered helping him. Also the elf boy felt sorry for being to scared to acknowledge him.
  ...
Fieva - "Just where have you been?" A more mature and equally as confident wolfkin lass stated. Jiklok gazed at her with his ears down sorry for being late. He scratched the back of his head attempting to find the words to help save him from her wrath. Just before he could speak however another spoke up.
Elf boy - "He saved me..." Both the canines turned and were surprised at seeing this child randomly appear. Jiklok a bit more so than Fieva.
