Sydney gets sidetracked while preparing to go save Jessie.

(This novel made as part of NaNoWriMo 2016!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I do a lot of die rolls as part of my stories to decide various actions and plot points. Here are the rolls I made for this chapter:

1-7 Grow to fit, 8-17 Shrink to fit, 19-20 Resist | Result: 16 Shrink to fit
1-10 Accidentally perma-d it, 11-20 Shrunk properly. | Result: 6 Accidentally perma-d
1-10 Frog under water, 11-20 Frog in hollow log | Result: 14 Hollow log
1 Permavore, 2-5 Days, 6-10 Day, 11-13 Swallow, 14-18 Elle, 19-20 Outside | Result 15 Elle
1-10 Frog fucked, 11-20 Simply resuced | Result: 10 Frog fucked
1-10 Unwilling, 11-20 Willing | Result: 7 Unwilling
1-10 Ass, 11-20 Pussy | 10 Ass

That crit failure permavore option had me nervous for about three seconds before "Oh, right... time travel." :/

Really enjoyed this chapter, wasn't expecting the frog-D but hey, who would?

Also, +3 coolguy points for naming the frog Kermit.

You realize that I don't allow unstable time loops to exist in my stories, right? If someone dies without being able to respawn, going back in time and stopping it isn't really an option.

I like to play with fire. =3

Oh good, knowing there is some risk involved makes it more exciting. Still going to hope beyond hope what it never comes to pass, but still, excitement.

I do like that you play with fire like that. The risk is part of the reward, as it were.

The was actually a character back in the first book I was thinking of adding. I rolled badly and she got digested by the spider though. She's the bulge in that chapter. =P

*giggles* I see. And one day, Elle or Sydney won't be quite so lucky. When you roll the dice often enough, eventually a 1 comes along. We'll just have to see who takes their place if and when that day comes...

Elle I likely won't endanger as much, since she's a reoccurring character I like a lot, and Sydney's been relatively safe from forever disappearing up until now. I probably won't be writing as much with Sydney for a while, and I expect I'll do more like the mermaid bit at some point, lots more characters where they're disposable. =P

Might do some one-shot stories too. Those are good for fatality~
