Recently visited my local Woody's Grill after seeing commercials for their new squirrel sandwich. I do enjoy rodent meals, so I was excited to visit. Sadly, my expectations may have been raised too high.
The sandwich in the advert displays a plump, young squirrel in a toasted bun, but the "Squirl Burg" given to me was very lackluster. Though the meat was still alive, it appeared sickly and was mostly bone. Not inedible, but meat this bony does not belong in a bun, no matter how stale and thin it is.
The advert also mentioned an almond glaze but I could not taste anything nutty in my sandwich. It was plain meat in a sad bun.
Cannot recommend.
