The asteroid girls' initial forms are a tree / squid hybrid alien, their secondary humanoid forms come after. Usually when they are floating in space they are in their squid form, but when they go flying through space they enter their secondary form.

The inside of their rock contains a hammerspace where they will eat, sleep and relax. As far as visiting planets they can alter the size of their secondary form to suit the planet they visit, like earth for example.
