Envy was a rival of Deidra for the longest time, skilled at her trade and eager to start a studio of her own while Deidra was trying to build GoldGullet. However, her studio went under as she had no way to protect the studio from legal action, having no method to reform the prey devoured on camera. The law was unable to touch her, as she had every prey sign a waver that protected her. However, her studio was not able to stay open. With her pride shattered, she dragged her feet into the successful GuldGullet Studio, asking for an audience with Deidra.

At first, Deidra wasn't sure about employing Envy since she had a rocky history with her. But she did have to admit that she was a predator who could keep up with Deidra. So after some consideration, Deidra not only employed the shapeshifter, she allowed her to stay in the dorms above the studio.

Still trying to adjust to not being the apex predator, Envy does come off as cold and unfeeling at first. But soon she opened up to her coworker, allowing herself to feel more and actually make friends! Envy IS a shapeshifter, but she has grown rather attached to her sergal form, chosing it as her base form.
