Yeah, yeah, Thanksgiving was a week ago. Zero f*cks given

THis is the full story that I intended to have out as a Thanksgiving special last year. I only got half done then, and it kinda sat and mouldered for a long time. I needed to take a break from schoolwork and a big commission last night, though, and I had a sudden flash of inspiration and ambition
I went back over the first half and made a bunch of touch-ups, mostly correcting spelling errors and tweaking a few things to make it a better read. From there, I kept writing and banged out the rest of the story.

So, here it is; I originally intended it to be a single story, so that's how I've arranged it. If you're only interested in the second half (BTW, all the actual vore is in that half), look for a line break marked by "---" THat's where the second half starts.

As always, I would love to hear what you think about the story!
I'd also like to know what people think about the disclaimers that I've been putting in. I'm conflicted, because I don't like giving story details away, but I also want to give people an idea of what's in the story in case its something they find off-putting. Should I keep adding the disclaimer, or should I do without?

For those who didn't like the sentient pred in "A Convincing Costume," I apologize. At the time I hadn't planned on revisiting this story; for reals, my next one will be back to my old standby: carnivorous plants!

Love to see this continued.

Continued how? Is there a particular direction you think it should go?
I'm always open to ideas :)

Well, Christmas is right around the corner.

While that is true, I'm afraid I won't ever be doing a Christmas special, at least not one with vore in it. I actually am a fairly conservative Christian, albeit one with major issues. Put simply, Christmas has religious significance to me, and I will not defile it with my smut.

Now, New Year's, on the other hand, is fair game

And like that, I spot a continuation on the horizon.

Is there anything more you'd like to add? Any characters Veruna should eat, or maybe a description of her next meal's appearance

Nah, the author tends to know best. Perhaps a longer scene of the prey inside the stomach would be nice though.

I'll take the bait. What if there was some kind of injury on the farm? The injured person asking for Veruna to eat him or her rather than go through a long painful recovery, as a practical matter and handled casually yet respectfully. What about fun pred/prey banter between Veruna and the Waldens as she bonds with the family? Another Thanksgiving dinner, perhaps?

This was definitely worth the wait xD

One of the best casual vore scenarios I've read. Especially with a non human pred.

I quite enjoyed this, and honestly never read any of the plant ones as I prefer sapient, realistically larger predators and dragons are the most classic ones. Because the prey are family members and seem to have the same American culture as in our own real world without talking dragons, I would think they would still want of have a 'funeral' for those members of their clan who made the ultimate sacrifice. I think it would have been amusing for Mrs. Walden to explain in private with Veruna her small obligation of 'depositing' the last earthly remains of here human meals in a pre-excavated grave at their funeral at the designated moment during the ceremony, neatly done in sort of a 'cat in the litterbox' fashion. I sought this story out after reading mention of it in the equally entertaining story starring Imbriak. Thanks for sharing!

You have some interesting points. Your suggestion for a funeral is not out of character for the family. I didn’t go with something like that for a couple reasons, one of them being that I handle disposal infrequently and with some delicacy.

I will say that the Waldens don’t consider their eaten kin ‘dead’ until the dragon who ate them dies, and that has not yet happened due to the creatures’ long lifespans. When/if it does happen, they would hold a memorial service for the dragon and his/her meals all together

What could be more delicate than disposal during the solemnity of a funeral service? Some cultures let vultures eat the flesh from the bodies of their deceased loved ones as part of their funerary customs.

A reasonable point; I just prefer to briefly imply it, if I bring it up at all. Just not really my thing, you know?
