The Sumerians are a unknown race of aliens that wonder the galaxy studying various life forms from different planets. They are describe having blue skin, lavender colored hair, very stretchy suit that help them carry their specimens in bellies. They are known to be curious and very intelligent. They send a collecting squad to collect specimens. This Sumerian named Rei ( who is the leader of the squad that was sent to Earth to collect specimens ) found a female human sleeping and decided to swallow her and carry her back for research.
