This is Let's Smile, drawn and designed by the loving and very supportive Datblangry for me as I was feeling a character itch again as well as her (rightly) thinking I probably needed a character that isn't in some way psychotic or has some form of mania (then again look at his lovely face, who can really tell?).
He's a obvious combination of a few things I love; namely Kedamono from the sheer genius possibly-kid's show, Popee the Performer as well as two abnormalites from Lobotomy Corporation, namely an unknown, unnamed and unreleased abnormalityand Funeral of the Dead Butterflies (what a cool name for a cool guy).

Let's Smile was made and shown to me only a few hours before a certain terrible thing happened in my life, as detailed in my journal. He was shown an hour or two before I went off to visit my mother (unbeknownst to me to see her alive for the final time) and his innocent, though slightly offputtingly creepy smile and open arms helped me get through the 21 round trip for the 4th time in 4 days.

If you're wondering what his deal is, well he always smiles (or is it a mask?) and is a nice thing with little halo'd butterflies around him, plus Miso finds Let's Smile extremely unnerving and tends to avoid being anywhere near him.
The fact his expression never changes other than his eyes can come across as pretty creepy but who knows his true motives?

I do wonder if his voice (if he has one) sounds like the nice voice at the start of Caravan Palace's song, Mighty
