4 January 2019 - The culmination of months of random pose sketching, this was my first successful attempt at a finished sketch with a head.

This sketch features my D&D character, Castanea, a fairy druid and worshiper of the goddess Mielikki. She's very small, even by fairy standards, and is several hundred years old, but she packs a punch. Two of her most notable qualities are her fairy dust, which seems to linger everywhere she goes, and her incredible taste. She is selflessly devoted to the well-being of others, and her chief goal in life is to reduce suffering in the world however she can. Yet try as she might to preach the evils of worldly desire, she can even tend to be somewhat of a glutton herself, though she is strictly a vegetarian. Her favorite food is blackberries. She also likes to bathe in hot tea and to turn invisible to (harmlessly!) prank people.

Her character design is based on the original work of kuga tsukasa, an artist I found on Gelbooru. The title of this sketch comes from the BGM track of the same name from the game MapleStory, which I play during campaigns as her theme music.
