Chapter 1: The Parthatran Tombwood

Your name is Feira. You are an elf, and a Royal Knight of the kingdom Parathatra. You have a mission.

Your mission is simple: you must rescue Princess Varsica of Parathatra. The route to accomplishing this mission is... not so simple. The Elements governing the world have fallen out of balance, their sources corrupted by the evil magicks of Dark Force and his minions. This has caused a toxic miasma-spewing rift to open around the Big Spire, where Dark Force resides.

Coincidentally, Dark Force is also the being responsible for kidnapping Princess Varsica. It is rumored, however, that only one weapon can harm this mighty sorcerer... and no one can remember what it’s called. Escalimur or something. Supposedly, this weapon rests somewhere in Kalea’cora, the Kingdom of Scales. As you might have guessed, Excrumblr is also very old. Pitted, rusted, dull, and powerless--or so it is said. This power can be restored by using the Seven Relics of the Six Kingdoms. Which brings us to where you are now:

You stand before the entrance to the Parthatran Tombwood, an arboreal tangle of trees and megalithic tombs, each housing the body of a ruler or luminary from Parthatra’s long history. Somewhere inside is the first Relic: the Wyrdstone. Two paths lie ahead. Which do you choose?
