Shinku likes spending time in Serpis's tail. When the lamia is awake, she can prevent her tail from treating shinku like yet another prey.

With her willpower, Serpis can prevent or at least delay the absorption, limiting herself to only drain Shinku's magic.

But right now, Serpis is asleep, and her tail instinctively begins the absorption.

Shinku doesn't seem to mind, though.
