Viol spent time on other planets before her notorious genocide of the Gods and Goddesses of the moon Belial. Most frequently, she devoured whatever religious establishment she found, took on the role of Goddess herself, and transformed whatever unlucky civilizations she encountered into breeding grounds for fanaticism. Some think she was eventually driven from every planet she 'conquered' in this way, but the reality is that she simply tired of being pampered. The bloody act of rising to power and warping the inhabitants of a planet to serve her every whim was much more interesting than the aftermath, and so Viol rarely lingered as the Goddess of any one planet.
The reason she eventually settled on Belial was because she had heard of a pantheon of real Gods and Goddesses there: something that might pose a real challenge to her. Though conquering Belial and defeating its Gods did not live up to her expectations, Viol derived some entertainment in attempting to exterminate the sole surviving Goddess Miara, who consistently managed to elude the conquerer's grasp. Viol never did get Miara in the end; just when it seemed as though Viol was ready to declare checkmate, she herself disappeared.
