Is the girl on the right foreground saying she's going to lay an egg? Or is that supposed to mean something else?

Based on that character's world (which is an alternate version of pokemon), she has to gestate egg to get a 'pokemon' of her own. So yes, she'd be laying an egg once that's done.

I'd like to know too. Weirdly enough she reminds me of the handler from Monster Hunter World whom nobody seems to like ^^
