It was New Year’s Eve, a time for relaxing with friends and family- or at least that's how Tracer proposed having a New Year's party for the Overwatch crew. Hanzo brought saké while D.Va brought snacks, Doritos and Mountain Dew. Despite being the one who planned it, Tracer showed up late, an uncommon occurrence for her. After exchanging greetings with her friends, Tracer bee-lined it to Hanzo's saké, something he only ever shares for special occasions. After several "catch-up" drinks, Tracer was giddy. She shared drinks with everyone as she blinked from friend to friend. "Cheer's love," she'd announce each time she gulped down drink after drink. At some point in the night, her vision became blurry and her limbs became numb- this saké felt a lot harder to take. Was it even saké? It didn't matter, as Tracer guzzled more liquor until everything began to meld together.

It was the next morning when Tracer woke up with a pounding headache and swollen belly. She'd been hungover before, but this was different. Could she really have drunken that much last night? As she rubbed her eyes awake, she realized her friends were nowhere to be seen. "Oi! Where is everyone?" She exclaimed with no answer in return. She looked down again towards her swollen gut which gurgled in response to the question she hadn't asked. Inside were her friends, or at least what was left of them. Unbeknownst to Tracer, Mercy was miraculously still in one piece and stuck in Tracer's stomach, futilely calling out to her friend, begging to be released from the boozy cage that was Tracer's stomach. Her natural healing abilities had kept her alive the entire night, but she couldn't avoid digestion forever. Patting her belly, Tracer leaned back, sure that her friends had just gone out and would be back soon. Tracer would later realize heavy drinking wouldn't be the only thing she'd regret from that night.
