O.S. is a spinoff-species from protogens, which I call "robogens" (though in canon, O.S. is one of a kind). While protogens are cyborgs, being a mix of organic material and mechanical parts, O.S. is completely robotic. He is a pred and programmed to ensure the comfort of vorarephiles, contaning an artificial harmless stomach. He was constructed as a basic prototype in 1982, but his AI and final body was not completed until 2017. Due to a quirk in his design and programming, he is stuck with computing materials and operating systems from the 1980s, and can not be updated, resulting in him being somewhat naive and occasionally dim-witted, but he always means well. He runs on a 48-hour 8-pound rechargable hydrogen cell battery, and takes interchanges floppy drives to store memories.
