Asuka liking this kind of stuff is certainly... BETTER than her personality in Rebuild 3.

And from the clips i've seen, it's like she lost ALL of her positive personality traits, all of what makes her well, HER, and now is just a person-shaped mass of anger, SCORN, and HATE. Same with Misato, along with turning her desire to wipe out the "Angels" into an Ahab-like obsession with taking down NERV, her former employer and now the bad guy, albeit now just The Commander and Sub/Vice Commander. At any cost of human life. and this is in a world where a second HUGE disaster brought the human population down to TEN MILLION PEOPLE if my memory is correct. So she shouldn't consider her troops expendable. ESPECIALLY her EVA pilots, as she only has TWO OF THEM. Asuka being one.

Basically Rebuild 3 is both Anno off his pills and an attempted middle finger to the fans (who he doesn't like anyway). Also Shinji is put through hell again. and it's as bad if not worse than End Of Evangelion (find out what happened for yourself, I've already ranted for long enough, but i will say that it was EXPLICITLY STATED that he lost the will to live). I wouldn't blame him if he suffers a psychotic break and ends the world again...
